We were watching TV Saturday afternoon when all of a sudden on the screen there was an error code 775. So we thought because of the storm maybe we needed to put the dish down and back up again. Well, we put the dish down then back up again… Now the Sat Dish box has a code of “no LNB voltage” SMH now what??? OMG, Ed and I worked the rest of the day and into the late evening trying to figure out just what in the world was going on. Of course, it has to stop working on the weekend and not Mon-Fri 8-4:30. We did call DirecTV and they scheduled a service call for Monday morning.
I have pictures of Ed working up on the roof but this site says they are too big… Dangit!!! BUT I did post them on my Facebook page…
Ed and I do have a spare carry-out dish which we sat up BUT forgot just how to set it up inside… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ LOL After about 3 hours of trying everything possible Ed finds this setting on our SMART TV in the “Live TV” setting… it scans all the channels and puff, the TV comes on! HUMM… I guess you just gotta hold your mouth just right. Anyway, at least we can watch something on the TV now until Monday. Can’t miss Fear the Walking Dead you know.
Now it’s Monday morning, the service tech is here, he replaces the wire to the LNB and replaces the LNB and the dish now works it locks onto all the satellites BUT NOW there’s no communication from the dish to the receiver and the tech can’t fix it. UGH…. So the tech leaves and we called DirecTV again, for a new stationary dish. We get lucky and they get a dish out to us today. The tech is back to install the new dish on the ground, It’s ONLY a temporary fix until we can get an appointment with the David Nannenga of Sats2Go. He’s the man who installed the Traveler Dish on the roof, hopefully, he can fix it. BUT of course, he just happens to be in Colorado on vacation right now. Like I said, it’s always something… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And wouldn’t you know it, it’s now raining and the poor tech is getting wet. Oh wow, it just keeps getting better. At least we can laugh about it later…
Until next time kids,
