Today we moved back to Thousand Trails after doing our week out. We went over to Park on the Lake, it’s only 2 miles away and they take Passport America for only $112.50 for the whole week. AND that includes full hookup with 50 amp service. It has been so great being in the same area for a decent period of time. I do LOVE traveling but after 2 years straight it feels good just to stay put for a while and at home too. This will be our last 3 weeks at home before we head north for the summer months. The plan as of now is to go to Lake Whitney then Lake Texoma before heading to the east coast. VA, NC, SC, KY, GA, AL and finally ending the year in TN for Thanksgiving and FL for Christmas and New Years.
We are meeting our good friends Tammy and Chuck in Gatlinburg TN for Thanksgiving and then meeting up with the rest of our HEB crew in FL… I know you’re wondering about the HEB crew. Well, we have these great close friends Janice and Dave Evens, they are the “E” and Janice and Rick Binns, they are the “B” of course we are the”H”… Rick came up with the name because we were always hanging out together and we grew quit close. Hence the name the HEB crew.
I needed to get some air freshener refills so after setting up we went to Lowe’s, then the 99cent store. Then we went to Smokey Moe’s for some good ol BBQ. It is sooooo good. Ed had the sliced beef sandwich combo and I had the chicken, it just falls off the bone…. They use to have a store in WillisTX but they closed that store down and just kept the store in Conroe. We got home and you guessed it, I didn’t have my air freshener, the very thing I needed. So it’s back out to another dollar store, Ed said he wanted to stop and get his Rx from Walgreens anyway so that worked out good.
Once back home we put the outdoor mat out just as it started to rain so we’ll have to put out the chairs and table tomorrow.
Now it’s time to do a little TV watching before bed…
Awe the retired life is awesome…. Really there’s not enough time in the day.
Until next time….
SafeTravels and Happy Trails!
